Powell Wedding-Details Getting Ready-0009.jpg

You know the feeling you have when you pick up your favorite book and run your hand over the cover? Or slip into your favorite skirt and feel the rustle of silk as you leave the house?

You want your guests to feel like that when they open your
wedding invitation.

To feel the texture of the paper in their hands,
to pause and touch the raised ink on the hand calligraphed envelope.

To feel your excitement for this most special of days.

Just like you want your guests to feel when they walk into your ceremony.
To feel that the day is special, that your love is special.

Only a hand-crafted invitation suite can bring this.

Only the attention to detail brought by Calligraphette & Co. can turn a wedding invitation into an heirloom.

A glimpse into the process, with a favorite bride...

"Our calligrapher, Nika worked with us meticulously in crafting our invitation suite and artwork."

When Jacqueline and I sat down to our first consultation, we didn't stop talking for over an hour. We chatted about handmade cotton rag paper, illustrations of her gorgeous venue out in Charlottesville, calligraphy styles, floral design, wedding dresses, deckling, and day jobs.

Throughout the next two months of working together, reviewing proofs over late evening Facetimes and giggling over our revisions, we became friends. No detail was too small to fuss over, and in the end we created something absolutely unique and uniquely beautiful.

"I did a little happy dance when I saw your package arrive on my door step. Nevertheless, I wish I was able to see you in person and thank you for the gorgeous invitation suite!!"

Jacqueline's timeless and romantic wedding was absolutely stunning, as fit her vision of an intimate day surrounded by loved ones and greenery.
